about

There used to be a great blues club in Seattle that has since closed. I wrote this in honour of that magical room and performed it on the stage one time as the doors were closing. That joint brough out the creativity in me the likes of which I had never experienced in my life. And I'm fuckin' old, man. Cheers, Steve Sarkowski...

lyrics

Say it ain't so
I don't wanna go
I was comin' up in this world
This was my heaven
The faces of all
The paint on these walls
I'll miss this...

My heart is slowly breaking
I never had a home like this

Turn out the lights
And say your goodbyes
This highway will roll forever
Forever 99
Let's have a toast
And raise our glass high
We are Forever 99

You gave me a stage
I gave you my soul
You wondrous cave
I'll always hold dear
All the notes that I wrote in here
